DynamicWeb solution with PIM and integration for Microsoft F&O provides easier and faster order handling
Sirius has got a unified product structure in a new PIM solution as well as a B2C webshop with direct integration to their ERP, Microsoft F&O, which has made it much easier to handle orders, as they no longer must create orders manually.
Sirius wanted a new web platform with a strong integration to their ERP system. They had an older B2C webshop which was not integrated with Microsoft F&O. All orders were therefore routed via another ERP system and then subsequently manually created. This resulted in a process with many challenges.
With a new web platform, Sirius would also like to open the possibility of selling to B2B customers, as well as get better control of their product data, which was in stored files, Excel sheets and the ERP system.
Sirius has got a unified product structure in a new PIM solution as well as a B2C webshop with direct integration to their ERP, Microsoft F&O. A solution has been built for Sirius based on DynamicWeb, which makes it possible to set up both a B2C and a B2B webshop.
To begin with, only the B2C platform was set up, as it was important that it get up and running quickly. Underlying, preparations were also made to launch the B2B webshop, as all the products are already structured in a PIM database for the B2C webshop.
With the integration to F&O, prices and stock status are retrieved in real time, which means that the products' display is defined based on stock status, among other things. The web solution gives Sirius the opportunity to take care of setting up new pages and campaigns, as well as adjusting the design and web presentation.
Today, Sirius has a B2C webshop that is integrated with their ERP system, which has made it much easier to handle orders, as they no longer must create orders manually.
With the addition of a PIM solution, the handling of product data has also become easier, as product data is now gathered in one place and connected to the webshop.
