Founded in 2005 as part of the Danish fashion company IC Companys, Soaked In Luxury brings together cosmopolitan flair, great colours, a variety of fabrics and creative detailing with a sharp focus on the end-consumer. The brand’s design profile is feminine, sexy, urban and cool. The soaked In Luxury products represent fashion with affluence and luxury for the eye.
Soaked In luxury wanted a brand new website capable of expanding the brands digital expression while integrating an already established visual identity. This required an online platform capable of displaying images from recent collections, while extracting product information from the backend. For Soaked In Luxury it was important to create a new experience for mobile customers because user scenarios are different and therefore requires a modern and responsive content solution.
The solution became an integrated CMS Dynamicweb platform, which separates content from design, meaning that Soaked In Luxury can change and update their online design according to their latest clothing collections, but without compromising the content or the communication with the backend. So even though the website’s frontend is Flash-based, all content is managed by a Dynamicweb platform. This enables the brand new website to display the latest images of new collections including up-to-date information on prices, sizes and stock inventory. However, the load of heavy images eventually generated a need for an alternative solution for mobile and tablet devices capable of carrying the same illustrative expression, but in a more simplistic and digestible fashion. As a result, a catalogue format was created, allowing users to flick through the latest Collection from their smartphone.
All together, the solution is very imagery and inspirational and leaves the visitor with a clear indication of what Soaked In Luxury is all about – clothes, fashion, elegance and modern design. The visitor is constantly inspired through an optimized and continuous display of the company’s latest collection of clothing, which includes the possibility of online purchasing. This generates an improved visitor experience, as both the website and the mobile site serves perfectly as a fully comprehensive and integrated solution.
