Hjem-Is is a Danish ice cream company founded in 1976 and is known especially for its familiar ice cream trucks that tours Denmark every summer. In order to increase sales and to reach more customers, the company and its familiar ice-cream bell has decided to venture online.
Hjem-IS was faced with an outdated ecommerce solution where both design and ease of use weren’t up to today’s standards.
To support a new modern shop capable of increasing the number of online orders, there was a need for a strong ecommerce platform that could be integrated to Home-IS' existing tour manager, Kartena, that informs customers about when the ordered goods will be delivered based on the delivery trucks’ GPS coordinates.
In cooperation with their Dynamicweb partner, 1st Web, Hjem-IS chose to use Dynamicweb All-in-One Platform and its ecommerce capabilities for building a new shop with integration to the GPS tracking system.
Hjem-IS has different assortment packages and variations (3 for 2) which is now supported by Dynamicweb’s possibilities to connect several assortments to the same basket, as well as giving discounts within, and across the range couplings.
In addition, customers can choose to mix a personal box of ice cream in a beautifully intuitive mix-yourself platform.
As part of the servicing of Hjem-IS’ customers is a customer club where customers receive special offers etc., which also provides the customers with an SMS service that lets customers know whenever the Hjem-IS truck is in the neighborhood. Registration for this would also be implemented on the shop solution. The entire system is of course responsive and adapts to mobile devices.
Through close cooperation between HjemHome-IS and 1st Web, Hjem-IS has achieved a modern, fast and user-optimized webshop where ease of use and the products are in focus.
