ProDesign Denmark designs quality eyewear, strongly rooted in the classic Danish design tradition
ProDesign Denmark’s previous site was oriented solely towards the retailers, i.e. the opticians. It was basically an online catalogue when they decided on a new web strategy with a more end-user oriented approach, and therefore the site needed a complete makeover. The main objectives were to showcase ProDesign’s products as well as to strengthen brand knowledge amongst retailers and end users.
Dynamicweb was used for the challenge of creating a brand new online universe for ProDesign Denmark’s customers. The site displays ProDesign’s current collection of about 500 eyewear products and is integrated to the company’s ERP-system Visma, where all product data is maintained. A filter search option helps ProDesign’s customers look for frames according to material, size, color or gender. To further promote the brand, the site integrates with social media such as Youtube, Twitter and Facebook to display content. For the opticians, the site enables them to order new products and also contains a number of instructional videos. A ground-breaking new feature of the website allows users to ”try on the frames” online, meaning that the users can upload an image of themselves and try on different frames to see how it looks and fits their face. And, of course, with one click the user may share the image on a social media site - An excellent way to support customers in the beginning of their decision process.
Since the launch of the website, traffic is ever increasing, reaching up to 40,000 visitors per month. The new website contributed to a 14 % increase in turnover for ProDesign Denmark compared to the year before.
