Dansk Nordenta is the largest supplier of consumables, equipment, equipment services and information technology systems for dental offices in Denmark. Each clinic negotiates an independent agreement with the company.
Nordentas former webshop formed the basis of many unnecessary discussions about prices, because the system could not list individual prices and discounts. The solution did not integrate with other systems and could not display real-time order status, because the system only updated once a day. With approx. 14,000 items, a solution where customers could see their individual prices and discounts, and where they were better able to serve themselves was badly needed.
In the new Dynamicweb solution integration to Dynamics NAV, customers have a complete overview of their individual order history, payment terms, bonuses, discounts and special offers, as shown in the webshop based on data collected in Dynamics NAV. With such a large assortment there may be backorders for some goods. In the webshop, it is possible to see availability on all products and a list of ordered items that are backordered. Another highly desired feature is that the customer has the possibility to generate and print a catalogue with up to 100 favorite items as well as the ability to search by various parameters such as item numbers, product names and parts of them. Many of Nordentas customers do not have a lot of storage space. Therefore, it is important that goods can be delivered from day to day. If an item does not arrive, customers can follow the Track & Trace, without having to call Nordenta.
The webshop has radically changed the way Dansk Nordenta work. Previously, time was spent fixing bugs and helping customers order goods. Now, customers serve themselves, and staff time is freed up to provide better service and advice to customers. The cost of completing an order in the current system is only 1 % of what it used to cost to complete an order with manual labor. Transactions have increased by 10 % and are still increasing, and the amount traded for per transaction increases as well. The fact that customers always can see their individual net prices in the webshop has become a major competitive factor for Nordenta. Therefore, they have won market share from competitors and landed new contracts since the launch of their new webshop.
